Delete your account
You can delete your Nestlist account in the app at any time. Your account is erased 30 days after you ask. You can cancel during those 30 days.
How to delete your account
- Optional: save your data first. Go to Account → Privacy & data → Download my data. Your online sessions end when you request deletion, so export before you continue.
- Go to Account → Privacy & data → Delete my account.
- Review what will be deleted.
- Confirm with Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, the same way you signed up. We ask for fresh proof so nobody else can delete your account.
- Type DELETE and tap Delete my account.
The app then shows the date your account will be erased.
What happens next
- Right away: every online session ends, and you are signed out on all devices. You cannot sign in to this account while the request is open.
- For 30 days: you can cancel in the app, in the same place, by confirming with Apple or Google again. If you cancel, you keep your account.
- After 30 days: we erase your account. This normally finishes within a few hours after the erasure date.
If you signed in with Apple, we also revoke Nestlist's access to your Apple ID when we erase your account. If you signed in with Google, we never store Google tokens. You can also remove Nestlist in your Google Account under third-party connections.
If you sign in again with the same Apple or Google account after erasure, you start with a new, empty account.
What we erase
- Your account and its link to your Apple or Google identity.
- Your sessions and, for Apple, the stored refresh token.
- Your consent choices for Family sync and other consents saved with your account.
- Households that only you can edit, including their synced Plan and Closet records, Registry, Registry items, gifts, guest details, guest links and invitations. Viewers in those households lose access.
- Your product reviews and product reports, including any review that was displayed.
- Support requests saved with your account.
What we keep, and why
- Shared households. If another adult can edit a household you own, the household and its shared records pass to them. This keeps their plan and Registry working. If you were a member of someone else's household, we remove you, and their data stays with them.
- Gift details in kept Registries. Names, notes and reminder emails that guests entered stay with the Registry that received them.
- A deletion record. We keep a record that your request was handled: a random ID, dates and counts. It does not contain your name, email, or Apple or Google identity. We keep a one-way fingerprint of your Apple or Google identifier for 90 days, so we can show you the deletion status, and then remove it.
- Backups. Erased data can remain in encrypted backups until they expire, within up to 6 months (daily backups for 14 days, monthly snapshots for 6 months). If we ever restore a backup, we erase deleted accounts again.
Data on your iPhone
Deleting your account does not delete data saved on your iPhone, such as your plan, Closet, budget and photos. To remove it, go to Account → Privacy & data → Delete local data, or delete the app.
Deleting the app alone does not delete your online account.
If you don't have an account
If you never signed in, we hold no account data for you. Everything is on your iPhone. Use Delete local data or delete the app.
If you can't use the app
We need fresh proof from Apple or Google that the account is yours, so deletion starts in the app. If you no longer have an Apple device or can't open the app, email hello@aieasy.chat and we will help.
